We have shown over the past 4 years that we are the party who turns up and represents you at Chelmsford City Council. The more of us on Council, the more we are able to achieve for the town. It's really a choice between local residents who will work hard and the Tories who couldn't be bothered to show up at the recent Planning Committee to represent you. The LibDems don't even live here!

CAN MY VOTE MAKE A DIFFERENCE HERE; AREN'T THE TORIES IN CHARGE? Nothing could be further from the truth. We were narrowly beaten at the City elections in 2019. Our candidate for Chetwood and Collingwood was only 70 votes short of taking a seat. A vote for the LibDems is a wasted vote as they trailed in a distant 4th place. If you don't want the Tories again why not vote for us?

The Tories only bleat about keeping Council Tax low and then say they'll reverse the Hylands car park charge - so that's a contradiction and MILES from SWF anyway! They even have the cheek to talk about the LibDems wasting money when THEY totally miscalculated the cost of Riverside. Their list of projects for SWF is so small and general that they can wriggle out of anything and they beg the question why didn't you take time to promote any of them in the past four years? Above all THEY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO SHOW UP AT THE PLANNING MEETINGS THAT MATTERED.

Only two of the LibDems live here. They were the party that didn't have our town's interests at heart when they allowed the developers to increase the dwellings from around 1000 to 1220 - 22% increase is not 'around 1000'. They failed to see the need for a new bypass around the development. THEY VOTED THROUGH THE APPLICATIONS EVEN THOUGH THEY HADN'T CONSIDERED EVIDENCE PRESENTED BY WIG'S HIGHWAYS CONSULTANT. And they are the ones planning to put another 500 houses on the land north of the current site. Something we objected to from the moment we first saw it in the Local Plan revision.
