On behalf of SWFCTA I would like to thank all the residents who took time to VOTE FOR THE BOAT, whether by post or on Election Day itself. Your support was much appreciated and it is our itention to continue to work hard in the interests of the town in spite of having returned no City Councillors this time. Jackie was only 7 votes behind in Chetwood & Collingwood and I was 9 votes adrift in Elmwood and Woodville. I'd like to thank the small team of volunteers who helped deliver leaflets around various parts of the town and the other members of the party who have put in many hours of sterling work during the past couple of months – including my fellow candidates and Sam Coley our agent.
We are only a small local party and we'd love to see more people join us who have a real interest in looking out for our town's interests. With more members we can stand more candidates in the City Council Elections in 4 years time. Please consider joining us and working with us to promote the interests of our town.
Keith Bentley (Chairman and Leader of SWFCTA)
